Ametropia (a condition of refractive error )in defined as a state of wherein the parallel rays of light coming from infinity (with accommodation at rest ) are focused either in front or behind the sensitive layer of retina, in one or both the meridia.Ametropia includes:
1. Myopia,
2.Hypermetropia,and
3.Astigmatism.
The related conditions,aphakia and pseudophakia,are also discussed here.
